AAPL short

I do not play apple usually. But today the gap down was clean and tried a small piece when it started going down seeing the weakness on 1 minute chart. I added to the position below the 115 area and protected my profits when it came close to the next whole number. This is another one straight from the DVD play called  "Mid bar continuation" strategy.  Another awesome profitable play.

GS Short

Did GS short today. This is a $200 stock and I generally try to avoid such high price stocks but today was the earnings on this and one can expect some momentum that can be played. The 1st bar was just too big for me but being a  $200 stock, one can expect it to have the big momentum. Though I did not add too much to this play, I started to short it and covered it at the whole number when I saw it rebound. The play is straight out of the DVD and one can find similar plays everyday..

ADT Long

Another earnings play that paid of quickly. This is a gap up play that started with a weak bar down. The reversal happened in the next 5 minute and the low of the 1st 5 min bar was never broken. I entered a small size on the reversal green bar and then waited to add to my position. I added as soon as it went above the 1st 5 minute bar and exited close to 35.5 area. Excellent play straight out of my strategy ..

Dish no trade

In most of my posts I cover the trades that you should take or consider or trades that I took on a particular day. Most of the time it is earnings driven as there is more volume than the rest of the days. Today I am covering an earnings play that you SHOULD NOT TRADE!!!

The example here is DISH. The 1st 5 minute bar is big and starts as a gap down but quickly moves up to go higher than the prior day close. Then the next 4 bars are all "inside bars" meaning that they are within the 1st big bars boundaries. These are the ones that you need to be careful about as your trade will not go anywhere and you should avoid them at any costs!!

FEYE short

FEYE was an earnings play with a  perfect short opportunity on 1 min. I added to my position on the low of the 1st 5 min bar and the downtrend on the chart continued to almost $22 where I took my profits. Awesome trade straight out of my dvd. Learn to master such opportunities that you will see on the market everyday...
