It is rewarding and one can find themselves at a big loss if one keeps a stock overnight during its earnings. NFLX has done very well during it's earnings but look at BBBY today and you will see it has fallen over 9% pre market and if you had the stock before the earnings, you just lost a big amount.
I do not like to hold stocks overnight especially if it is close to the earnings period. I am a pure day trader who also does swing positions but not close to the earnings calendar.

Cisco swing play
CSCO is a good swing play above 22.5 and adding to the position above 23 and 23.5.. I like this play now and has good potential for upward movement.

RPM gap play
RPM has earnings and buying it above the base of 41.7 is looking good.. have to wait and watch for the setup before entering any position.
As with all my plays.. wait for the setup, buy little on the 1st sign of upward movement above the support and add heavily after 1st 5 min bar as per my strategies.
