KMX short

KMX short worked out perfectly. Add was a bit challenging because of the overlap candle pattern on the 5 minute as it had huge tails and one needs to be cautious at times. I was almost at the selloff when one of the candle sticks went above the prior candle high but survived this pullback.
I finally added twice and exited close to the whole number giving me a nice profit. Check out my dvd for this strategy called - Mid Bar Continuation pattern

Is there a pattern here?

On Oct 5th, I had written an article about some of the things I see in the market today. I was expecting the market to go down in the earnings season but it did not to the extent I was thinking. Looking at my trades in the last month or so, I have had much more shorts than longs!!! .. If I look at my trades before September, I can see many more LONG plays than shorts...

This pattern does say something.. it says that the market is running out of gas and sooner or later this is going to tank... I keep the same judgement.. be conservative for now...

ADBE short

ADBE an earnings play opened up weak after a gap up. One has to wait for such trades for it to settle down before jumping in to trade in either direction. I had put a comment on twitter stating to wait for ADBE.
I shorted this stock, this is one of my plays called "FADE PLAY" strategy. I shorted it below the 1 min bars and added below the prior 5 min bar. I managed my position to the next whole number and took my profits..this is also straight from my dvd

CIEN Short

Today CIEN short which was an earnings stock played out very well. Though this is a low end stock with a price of only $20, the range was big. It opened as a big gap down and as you would expect with any reaction, the 1st 15 minutes the stock tried to balance itself and figure out the direction it wants to go. THere was enough weakness in it and it finally went straight down when the 1st 5 min bar high was never taken. This is one of the strategies straight out of the DVD. check out how I played it..

AAPL short

I do not play apple usually. But today the gap down was clean and tried a small piece when it started going down seeing the weakness on 1 minute chart. I added to the position below the 115 area and protected my profits when it came close to the next whole number. This is another one straight from the DVD play called  "Mid bar continuation" strategy.  Another awesome profitable play.

GS Short

Did GS short today. This is a $200 stock and I generally try to avoid such high price stocks but today was the earnings on this and one can expect some momentum that can be played. The 1st bar was just too big for me but being a  $200 stock, one can expect it to have the big momentum. Though I did not add too much to this play, I started to short it and covered it at the whole number when I saw it rebound. The play is straight out of the DVD and one can find similar plays everyday..
